Call from Mars

decide which sound we will broadcast from Mars to Earth

In March 2021 the first European planetary rover will land on Mars as part of the ExoMars mission. The rover's landing platform will carry 11 sound recordings (selected in this project) in the memory of a Czech scientific instrument. The sound recording that receives the most votes before the ExoMars probe lands on Mars will be transmitted back to Earth.

Basic description of sound
This recording is similar to the Apollo 11 landing quote, where Neil Armstrong boasts to Houston that they have landed on Tranquility, the Moon. In the same way, this quote will give pride to ESA and all Earthlings when the Rosalind Franklin rover lands on Mars. More especially, when the quote is played---on Mars, or Earth it gives pride to all the people of the 'good Earth', that we strive to learn more about this unknown and fascinating universe.
